Four-count breathing exercise

It is a very simple exercise that you could do it anywhere. You may sit or lie on a comfortable position with support. You may also close your eyes or looking down to a point about three to four feet away (if sitting). You inhale with your nose and exhale through your mouth.

 

1. Exhale completely through your mouth.

2. Inhale with your nose and with your mouth closed by counting from 1 to 4 mentally.

3. Hold your breath with counting from 1 to 4 mentally.

4. Exhale with your mouth by counting from 1 -4 mentally.
