Dr. Chan believes in adopting a holistic approach in psychotherapy and an evidence-based practice in corporate training in order to enhance individual and corporate clients’ personal growth, human connection and psychological well-being.

Dr. Cindy Chan

As an experienced Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Cindy Chan has more than eighteen years of clinical experience in treating mental illnesses as well as counseling on psychological issues. Apart from clinical assessment and treatment, Dr. Chan was responsible for the forensic psychological assessment for the territory for the court during her employment with the Castle Peak Hospital from 2001 to 2008. She was invited to be the expert witness for the court. To serve the community and her profession, She is the past Vice Chairperson of the Division of Clinical Psychology, Hong Kong Psychological Society. She was appointed by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare and the Secretary for Security of the HKSAR government to be the member of the Guardianship Board and the Post-release Supervision Board. Dr. Chan is a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. She is also trained intensively in Emotion-Focused Therapy. She completed an intensive training in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy organized by Oxford Mindfulness Centre and Hong Kong Mindfulness Centre. She is currently a visiting consultant of the Matilda International Hospital.

The green “C” symbolizes the client as a growing plant with continuous personal growth and sense of well-being. The yellow background symbolizes psychological theories as a solid foundation of psychotherapy provided for clients. The brown and green “Cs” facing each other symbolize a collaborative and fruitful human connection in the therapist-client relationship.
